Knowledge Exchange

ON-THE-MOVE Knowledge exchanges are designed to facilitate global exchange of best practices and innovations through webinars that showcase our project and provide a platform for early career researchers and local health services to share their work, gain visibility, expand networks, and draw on global innovation in interventions, methodologies, and implementation strategies.

This quarterly series will begin with innovations and best practices around HIV care for mobile populations and expand to other topics based on demand, featuring speakers from our network. Engagement with healthcare workers, communities, researchers, and students are key ingredients to our work towards equitable collaboration.

OTM Knowledge Exchange #1

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of ON‑THE‑MOVE’s very first knowledge exchange session!

We’ll explore geographic mobility, its drivers, and implications for continuity of care in sub Saharan Africa. This is the beginning of a collaborative journey — bringing together voices across research, practice, and community to spark new ideas and solutions.

OTM Knowledge Exchange #2

Transfers: Policy and Practice

Building on the first webinar’s exploration of mobility and its implications for HIV care, this webinar turns to the practical and policy dimensions of supporting patients through transitions in care. The session will examine the policies that govern patient transfers, before moving into a detailed look at the real-world management challenges these transitions present, covering what providers are expected to do, the boundaries of what is and isn’t possible, and how to navigate both the clinical and psychosocial dimensions of care for mobile patients. The webinar will close with a facilitated discussion, creating space for participants to reflect on and share their own practice experiences.
